Judge orders Apple to rectify the commercial harm done to Samsung
Apple has been ordered to publish statements across multiple mediums that Samsung didn?t copy the iPad.
The notice outlines the 9 July London court decision, which stated that Samsung?s Galaxy tablet didn?t infringe on Apple?s designs.
Judge Colin Birss said that Apple must publish the statements, on their UK home page, in newspapers, and in magazines, that the Korean company didn?t copy their product.
?From a victory in court they were suddenly on the back foot,? said Colin Fowler, an intellectual property lawyer, in a phone interview regarding Apple.? ?Getting this order fits in with the context of them trying to restore the balance.?
