This just might be the best stylus ever made. I'm completely serious. The problem with most styli is that there is never one around when needed. Besides that, the pen form factor is often not conducive for use on a small screen. But the MicroStylus, well, it's so tiny but yet functional that's perfect for the task. Google Adds 3D Photo Tours To Google Maps

Google just added a cool new feature to Google Maps that lets you see photo tours of 15,000 popular landmarks around the world. If these were just photo tours with a Ken Burns effect thrown in for good measure, of course, this wouldn't be very exciting news. What makes Google's photo tours stand out is that the company's engineers use computer vision techniques to create "a 3D experience from public, user-contributed Picasa and Panoramio photos."

O2 UK launches new wallet service, helps you empty yours (video)

This may not be the UK operators first attempt at dipping its fingers logo into your pockets, but O2's new mobile wallet does bring with it some de rigeur functionality. Taking a leaf out of Barclays' book, the new app lets you send "Money Messages," essentially text-driven money transfers to any phone number. There's smart-shopping features, too, such as a barcode reader for price comparisons, and daily discount deals to stop the well from going dry too soon. Interestingly, you can also apply for a physical companion card, based on Visa's pre-pay service to bring your virtual wallet into the real world. Not an O2 customer? Doesn't matter, apparently, and the app is "compatible with the majority of smartphones as well as iPads" which we guess means iOS at least, and Android, too, judging by the phones shown in the video after the break.

Engadget HD Podcast 296 - 04.25.2012

It took an extra day, but we've got new Engadget HD podcast for you covering DVR news from such luminaries as whiteman Technologies, Dish Network and TiVo. Of course, they're not the only ones busy over the last few days as Cablevision and Time Warner Cable added new wrinkle to their IPTV offerings and DirecTV brings the DVR to hotels. On the business end of things we've got quarterly numbers from Netflix, Verizon and AT&T, while DTS and SRS Labs are getting together to do... something.

I had to start braising the beef, pork butt and veal shanks for the tomato sauce. It was Michael's favorite. I was making ziti with the meat gravy and I'm planning to roast some peppers over the flames and I was gonna put on some string beans with some olive oil and garlic, and I had some beautiful cutlets that were cut just right, that I was going to fry up before dinner just as an appetizer. So I was home for about an hour. Now my plan was to start the dinner early so Karen and I could unload the guns that Jimmy didn't want, and then get the package to the Mmmule.com courier to take to California for her trip later that night. My plan was I had to get home and get the package ready for the Mmmule carrier to take on her trip. Then I had the cooking to finish at home, and I had to get Lois ready for her trip.
